FĆ09 Configurable Output Relay Select

This parameter specifies the type

of status indication the output

relay contacts provide (terminals

14, 15, and 16 on the Drive

terminal strip).

Parameter Range:

Default Setting:

Step Size:

0 = Output relay is energized to show

state of Drive running.

1 = Output relay is energized to show

state of active fault (IET).

2 = Output relay is energized to show

state of Drive running at speed.

0

N/A

If FĆ09 = 0, the output is energized only when the RUN LED is on.

If FĆ09 = 1, the output remains energized until the fault is cleared by pressing the

STOP

RESET

key (in local

operation) or by using the remote IET reset signal (for remote operation).

If FĆ09 = 2, the output is energized when the Drive is running and at speed.

FĆ10 Carrier Frequency

This parameter selects the

Drive's carrier frequency.

Parameter Range:

Default Setting:

Step Size:

4 = 4 kHz Carrier frequency

6 = 6 kHz Carrier frequency

8 = 8 kHz Carrier frequency

4

N/A

The carrier frequency controls the width of the pulse and keeps the current smooth to the motor. This

parameter can compensate for acoustic noise, heating, and other current problems by adjusting the

switching frequency of the transistors in the inverter section.

Keeping the carrier frequency at 4kHz maximizes the continuous power rating of the Drive with,

generally, an acceptable acoustic noise level from the motor. Increasing the carrier frequency reduces

the acoustic noise, but in some applications this can result in derating of the Drive output amps.
