Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the fl ex point of the hinge to prevent epoxy from entering the hinge. Insert the hinges
into the elevator. Use the depth gauges marked EO, EM and EI to make sure the hinges fi t into the elevator. It may be necessary
to use a drill bit to make the hole deeper to fully insert the hinge into the elevator. The depth gauges are marked for proper
location and will fi t the radius of the leading edge on the elevator. Once the positioning of the hinges have been set, use epoxy to
glue them into position.
Geben Sie etwas Vaseline auf die Gelenke der Scharniere damit diese nicht verkleben. Verwenden Sie die Maße EO, EM und EI auf
der Schablone um die Scharniere einzupassen. Es könnte notwendig sein die Löcher für die Scharniere zu vertiefen. Kleben Sie
die Scharniere nach dem Anpassen mit Epoxy fest.
Appliquez une petite quantité de gelée de pétrole au niveau du pivot des charnières afi n d’éviter que la colle époxy y pénètre.
Insérez les charnières dans la gouverne. Utilisez les jauges de profondeur marquées E0, EM et E1 pour contrôler l’alignement
des charnières dans la gouverne. Il sera peut être nécessaire d’utiliser un foret pour augmenter la profondeur du trou pour
obtenir le positionnement correct des charnières. Les jauges de profondeur sont marquées pour leur position et correspondent
au rayon du bord d’attaque de la gouverne de stabilisateur. Une fois que l’alignement est contrôlé, utilisez de la colle époxy pour
fi xer les charnières à la gouverne de dérive.
Mettere una piccola quantità di vaselina sullo snodo delle cerniere per evitare che la colla possa bloccarle. Inserire le cerniere
nell’elevatore usando i calibri EO, EM ed EI per essere sicuri che le cerniere siano ben inserite nell’elevatore. Se necessario
rendere i fori più profondi con una punta da trapano. I calibri sono contrassegnati per posizionarli correttamente in quanto

colla epoxy.

Position the hinge perpendicular to the hinge line. Check that
it can move freely.

Slide the torque rod bushing on the torque rod. Make sure the
bushings are on the correct side of when the elevators are
attached to the stabilizer. The torque rods face down.
