Managing OpenLNS CT Licenses
12. Click Exit to close the License Wizard.
Upgrading OpenLNS CT Standard Edition to OpenLNS CT
Professional Edition
You can upgrade a copy of OpenLNS CT Standard Edition to OpenLNS CT Professional Edition if
you need support for more networks. The Standard Edition supports up to five networks and the
Professional Edition supports an unlimited number of networks. Upgrading from OpenLNS CT
Standard to OpenLNS CT Professional does not upgrade the Visio edition. To upgrade from
OpenLNS CT Standard Edition to OpenLNS CT Professional Edition, follow these steps:
1. Order the OpenLNS CT Standard to Professional Upgrade Key (Echelon model number
38070-400) from your Echelon Sales representative, Echelon distributor, or the Echelon online
store at
. You will receive an e-mail message that contains instructions for
upgrading to OpenLNS CT Professional Edition.
2. Use the License Wizard to return your OpenLNS Standard Edition following these steps:
a. Open the Echelon License Wizard. Click Start, click Programs, point to Echelon License
Wizard, and then click License Wizard. The Echelon License Wizard opens. Click Next.
b. The Step 1: What would you like to do? dialog opens.
To return your OpenLNS CT software using the over the Internet or via e-mail, click Manage
Product Licenses and then click Next.
To upgrade over the phone, click Show Advanced Tasks, Upgrade a Product License over
the Phone, and then follow the instructions in the License Wizard. If your computer is
offline, upgrade via e-mail if you have e-mail access because upgrading over the phone
requires manually entering many lengthy alpha-numeric strings.
c. The Step 2: Which License Would You Like to Manage? dialog opens. Select Return
from the Action column of your OpenLNS CT license, and then click Next.
