Use OpenLNS Hot
Backup

Automatically creates a hot backup copy of the OpenLNS network
database, if required, when creating an OpenLNS CT backup. This
option is selected by default.

If this check box is cleared and the OpenLNS network database is
being accessed while attempting to create an OpenLNS CT backup,
a prompt opens and offers the following three choices:

• Exit all applications accessing the database and try again.
• Use the OpenLNS hot backup (creates an OpenLNS hot

backup).

• Cancel the backup request.

Scope: All networks, current OpenLNS CT computer

Delete OpenLNS Hot
Backup after LM
Backup

Deletes the hot backup copy of the network database once a standard
OpenLNS CT backup has been created. OpenLNS CT may create an
OpenLNS hot backup of the OpenLNS network database when
creating an OpenLNS CT backup file. When an OpenLNS hot
backup copy is created, a copy of it is placed in the OpenLNS CT
backup file. Select this check box to delete the extra copy.

If this check box is cleared, the hot backup copy of the network
database created by the OpenLNS hot backup will be preserved.

This option is cleared by default.

Scope: All networks, current OpenLNS CT computer

Max Number of
OpenLNS Hot
Backups

Sets the maximum number of unique hot backup copies of an
OpenLNS database that will be preserved. An OpenLNS hot backup
copy of the OpenLNS network database may be created when an
OpenLNS backup file is created. If the Delete OpenLNS Hot
Backup after LM Backup
check box is cleared, the OpenLNS hot
backup copies are preserved. Select a value between 1 and 99. The
default value is 5.

Scope: All networks, current OpenLNS CT computer
