trunk promiscuous mode, and host mode, see Layer 2—LAN Switching Command Reference.

4.

Associate the secondary VLANs with the primary VLAN.

Configuration guidelines

After you complete the private VLAN configurations, perform the following configurations:

{

For a port operating in promiscuous mode, make sure the primary VLAN is the PVID of the port
and the port is assigned to the primary VLAN and secondary VLANs as an untagged member.

{

For a port operating in host mode, make sure the PVID of the port is a secondary VLAN and the
port is assigned to the primary VLAN and secondary VLANs as an untagged member.

{

For a port operating in trunk promiscuous mode, make sure the port is assigned to the primary
VLAN as a tagged member and assigned to the secondary VLANs as an untagged member.

After you configure a primary VLAN, the system automatically synchronizes the dynamic MAC

address entries of the secondary VLANs to the primary VLAN.

To enable users in the private VLAN to communicate with other networks at Layer 3, configure
VLAN interfaces for the secondary VLANs, and configure IP addresses for the secondary VLAN

interfaces.
