Installing an air filter

Air filters of the S7500E series are optional. If you have ordered air filters, H3C recommends you to

install the air filters before mounting the switch to the rack.

S7506E-V—An air filter is available at both front and rear of the switch, and can be installed in the
same way. For the installation procedures, see "

Other models—The air filter is located at the left of the chassis. For the installation procedures, see

Installing an air filter on an S7506E-V

1.

Unpack the air filter.

2.

As shown in callout 1 on

Figure 13

, attach the air filter to the intake vents on the front panel or rear

panel, and then insert the captive screws into the screw holes on the chassis.

3.

Faster the captive screws, as shown in callout 2 on

Installing an air filter on other models of the S7500E series

1.

Unpack the air filter and fastening strips.

2.

Align the screw holes on the fastening strip with the screw holes on the chassis, insert the screws
into the screw holes, and then fasten the screws clockwise with a screwdriver, as shown in callout

1 on

3.

Push the air filter in between the fastening strips. See callout 2 on

4.

Fasten the captive screws. See callout 3 on
