3. If you are replacing a cartridge, remove the empty cartridge and
discard it.
Grasp the yellow handle on each end of the toner cartridge and pull the
cartridge straight out.
4. Remove the protective sheet from the toner cartridge.
The toner cartridge is shipped with a protective paper sheet inserted
between its rollers. Remove the sheet by pulling it downwards. Do not
remove the sheet by pulling it upwards. This will lift the protective
flap, allowing light into the cartridge which could cause damage to the
photosensitive drum.
Before inserting the toner cartridge in the printer
,
detach the tape and pull this sheet out in the direction
indicated.
