7.4  Replacing a Rectifier

The Cordex Converter (CXD) Rectifier (CXR) series modules are plug and play. When a rectifier

module is added to the system, the CXC will detect and update the inventory automatically.

Replacing an installed rectifier, however, requires a manual Inventory Update at the controller to clear

the removed rectifier from its current list of rectifiers.

1. To remove a module, rotate the thumbscrew latch 1/4 turn as indicated on the bottom of the

faceplate. Grasp handle and pull out, sliding the module away from the rear connectors and out

of the shelf.

2. At the controller, initiate an inventory update:

Main Menu > Rectifiers > Inventory Update

. The

remaining rectifiers are re-acquired.

3. Insert a new rectifier by placing the module on the shelf bottom and sliding the module into the

rear connectors (inside of the shelf). Apply pressure on the handles to engage the rear connector

in the shelf receptacle.

4. Rotate the thumbscrew latch 1/4 turn as indicated on the bottom of the faceplate to secure the

module to the shelf.

The CXC will automatically detect and update the inventory with the new rectifier

7.5  Replacing a Defective Fan—Inverter or Rectifier

Rectifiers and inverter modules have internal fans. Failure of a fan generates a Fan Fail alarm.

1. Shut off the unit and unlock the power module.

2. Slide the module out of the shelf.

3. Wait two minutes for the module capacitors to discharge.

4. Disconnect the fan power wires from the module.

5. Note the direction of the airflow and remove the fan from the front panel.

6. Install the replacement fan following the preceding steps in reverse order.

7.6  Removing the CXCU Controller

1. To release the CXCU from the shelf, insert a small flat screwdriver in the

square hole under the USB port and lift up the lock pin.

2. Pull out the module.
