5.1 Getting Started
5.1.1 Tips for Using the Touch Screen
The entire screen is touch-activated (”Touch Screen”). Spend a few
minutes touching various items on the screen to see how they work.
1.
Take yourselves time to press the individual fields lightly to get
familiar with their functions.
2.
To make a selection, press the screen with your fingernail,
fingertip, pencil eraser, or a stylus.
Note: Please note that a stylus ensures efficient and accurate use of
the touch screen!
Note: Do not touch the screen with a sharp object, such as the tip of a
ball point pen! Do not place anything on top of the screen, otherwise it
may become scratched!
Additional notes:
•
Touch keys, words, or icons to select them.
•
Use scroll bars to move up and down long lists very quickly.
Touch and hold the scroll bar, then move your fingertip up or
down to move through the list.
•
Highlight an item from a list by touching it once. When the item
has been successfully selected, it will be displayed as reversed
text (light text on a dark background).
5.1.2 Using the alphanumeric keypad
This alphanumeric keypad is used to enter letters, numbers, and
symbols. Unavailable options are disabled.
The icons to the left of the display allow a choice of entry modes
(see table).
The central keypad changes to reflect the chosen entry mode. You
must repeatedly press a key until the desired character appears on
the screen. A space can be entered by using the underscore on the
YZ_ key.
