Standard Operations

5.2 Instrument Setup Mode

Select Instrument Setup in the ”Main Menu“.

A selection of functions appears in order to configure the functions
of the instrument.

5.2.1 Operator ID

Use this option to enter up to 30 sets of operator initials (up to five
characters each) into the instrument. The Operator ID can be
assigned to a measurement from the measurement screen or the
”Operator ID“ menu. This feature helps record which operator
measured each sample.

Press Operator ID in the ”Instrument Setup“.

2.

Press New to enter a new ”Operator ID“.

3.

Use the alphanumeric keypad to enter a new Operator ID.

Note: You cannot use spaces in this function. Use underscore
symbols instead (on the key YZ_).

Press OK to confirm.

Barcode programs (Appendix B) are pre-programmed methods that make use of LANGE cuvette
tests. The working procedures for LANGE tests are included in the test packs.

System Checks

The system checks menu offers a number of options, including optical checks, output checks,
lamp history and instrument update.

Recall Data

Stored data can be called up, filtered, transmitted and deleted.

Instrument Setup

In this mode, user-specific or method-specific settings can be entered: Operator-ID, Sample-ID,
Date & Time, Display & Sound, PC & Printer and Password.
