Acquisition
Problems
The calibration microspheres
are not fully suspended. Vortex the calibration vials to
resuspend the microspheres.
Wrong calibration lot chosen in
the Calibration Setup window. In the Main Window of the
Luminex Data Collector
software, click Calibrate. In the
Start Calibration dialog box,
make sure that the correct lot
numbers are shown in the
Reporter Channel menu.
Incorrect wells chosen in the
XY tab in the software. On the Options Menu of the
Luminex Data Collector
software, click Options. When
the Options window opens,
click on the Setup XY tab. In
the Default Sample Locations
group box, make sure that the
correct corresponding wells are
chosen from the drop-down list.
Beads were left in the system
after Classification calibration. Perform an Alcohol Flush
followed by a Wash command.
Zero events collected during
calibration There is a problem with fluid
levels. Check the fluid levels in the
sheath and waste containers.
Verify that both bottles are
tightly connected to the
instrument. Check that the waste
bottle cap is vented.
Symptom Possible Problem Solution
Acquisition fails or slows The air pressure is out of range. See Pressurization on page 8-3.
The sample probe is not
vertically aligned. Adjust the sample probe height.
See page 7-9.
The sample probe is clogged. Clean sample probe. See
page 7-4.
The sheath bottle has a leaky
seal. Make sure that the sheath bottle
lid is tightened. Remove and
replace the sheath bottle lid.
