Error Messages

Microspheres appear as a long
diagonal line

The xMAP microspheres have
agglutinated

Add additional detergent to the
assay buffer. For example, add
.02% to 0.1% of Tween-20,
Titron

®

X 100, or SDS.

The solvent is incompatible.

See the Technical Support

for a list of incompatible
solvents. If the solvent you are
using is listed on the website,
switch solvents.

You are using incompatible
sheath fluid.

Use only Luminex sheath fluid
in the Luminex 100 analyzer.
Other fluids can damage your
system.

Error Type

Possible Cause

Solution

Unable to calculate
temperature compensation.

The delta Cal temperature is out
of range.

Recalibrate the system. If
message continues after two more
attempts at calibration, contact
Technical Support.

Syringe pump error “A CAN
protocol (bad frame) error
occurred during step 2 of the
stop sample sequence. The
syringe pump component failed
during the
PS_TERMINATING state of
the terminate operation.

The syringe seal is loose.

Hand-tighten the syringe cylinder
at the connection to the white
syringe valve. Restart the
analyzer and PC. If the error
message repeats, contact
Technical Support.
