4. Type the number of seconds for the Management Console time-out in the Web
Inactivity Timeout (in seconds): text box. The default value is 900.
TIP: You can specify zero (0) seconds in the Web Inactivity Time-Out text box to prevent the
Management Console from timing-out due to inactivity.
5. Click Apply to apply your settings to the running configuration. (Apply your
settings to test a new configuration before committing it to memory.)
6. Click Save to write your settings to memory or click Reset to return the settings to
their previous values.
Setting the
Message of the
Day (MOTD)
Optionally, you can create a message that appears in the CLI when you log in and in
the banner of the Management Console in the Setup: Authentication Message of the
Day (MOTD) page.
To set a MOTD 1. Click the Setup tab to display the Setup: Optimization Service - General Settings
page.
2. Click Authentication in the left menu to display the Setup: Authentication -
General Settings page.
3. Click MOTD in the left menu to display the Setup: Authentication - MOTD page.

4. Type a message to appear in the Management Console banner in the MOTD
(Message of the Day) text box.
