To enable
authentication and
encryption 1. Click the Setup tab to display the Setup: Optimization Service - General Settings
page.
2. Click Advanced Networking in the left menu to display the Setup: Advanced
Networking - Connection Forwarding page.
3. Click Encryption in the left menu to display the Setup: Advanced Networking -
Encryption page.

4. Under Add New Peer, type the peer IP address in the Peer IP text box and click
Add Peer to add the new peer.
IMPORTANT: If IPsec is enabled on this HP EFS WAN Accelerator, then it must also be
enabled on all HP EFS WAN Accelerators in the IP security peers list, otherwise this HP EFS
WAN Accelerator will not be able to make optimized connections with those peers.
5. Under Authentication and Encryption Settings, click Enable Authentication and
Encryption to enable authentication between HP EFS WAN Accelerators.
