To enable HSTCP
protocol support 1. Click the Setup tab to display the Setup: Optimization Service - General Settings
page.
2. Click Protocol: HSTCP in the left menu to display the Setup: Optimization Service
- Protocol: HSTCP page.

3. Under High Speed TCP, click Enable High Speed TCP to accelerate TCP
connections.
‹ Type the LAN send buffer size in the LAN Send Buffer Size text box to set the
buffer size used to send data out of the LAN. The default value is 81920.
‹ Type the LAN receive buffer size in the LAN Receive Buffer Size text box to
set the buffer size used to receive data from the LAN. The default value is
32768.
‹ Type the WAN send buffer size in the WAN Default Send Buffer Size text
box to set the buffer size used to send data out the WAN. The default value is
262140.
‹ Type the WAN receive buffer size in the WAN Default Receive Buffer Size
text box to set the buffer size used to receive data from the WAN. The default
value is 262140.
4. Click Apply to apply your settings to the running configuration. (Apply your
settings to test a new configuration before committing it to memory.)
5. Click Save to write your settings to memory or click Reset to return the settings to
their previous values.
