SMTP Settings
Section Field Description
SMTP Server Server The IP address or DNS name of the SMTP server to use for
outgoing messages. If the server supports anonymous access,
it must be disabled if you want to use SMTP authentication.
Port The SMTP port number (default is 25).
Test Tests the SMTP server connection. You must have a valid
connection before you can continue.
Mail Account Allow user to
select recipients Allows the user at the device to select recipients for the
document.
> Allow user to add recipients to Cc list
> Send copy to Sender: Automatically delivers a copy of
the sent message to the person specified in the From field
at the device.
Send to self Disables the recipients list and sends the scanned documents
only to the user who is sending the document.
SMTP server
Logon
This option is
only available if
SMTP Basic
Authentication
is enabled at
the server.
None Select this option if the connecting SMTP server does not
require authentication.
Use Sender’s
User ID, LDAP
Attribute and
runtime
password Uses the sender’s LDAP authentication information to connect
with the SMTP server.
Login As Select this option and enter a user name and Password to
enable the user to connect to the SMTP server at the device
without being prompted for SMTP authentication.
Runtime: Prompt
Sender for a
user name and
password Prompts users to enter a user name and password at the
device when they press the Send button on the Send screen.
