Using the Cost Recovery Service
Cost recovery is available as an add-on service to eCopy ShareScan OP and provides an integrated
solution linking ShareScan OP with supported cost recovery systems, such as Equitrac and
Copitrak. For more information, please contact your authorized eCopy reseller.
After installing Cost Recovery, select
Enable
to enable the service and then enter the port number
being used for communication with the terminal device.
Select
Enable Tracing
to capture trace information in a log file to help troubleshoot cost recovery
issues. The log file is generated in the same location as the Cost Recovery Library and is tagged
with the IP address of the Cost Recovery Terminal. You typically do this only when working with
Technical Support. Tracing may slow down overall system performance.
Note:
You must enable Activity Tracking before you can enable the Cost Recovery Service.
