Changing Shake Motor

Read all of the following instructions. If you have any doubt about performing these

procedures, please contact Customer Service at Fluid Management.
Turn to the Parts Section of this manual for component identification and location.

Changing Shake Motor Procedure

1.

Unplug the electrical cord.

2.

Remove lower front and right/left side panels.

3.

Make a drawing of the wire to the terminal connections, then disconnect the

wires from the shake motor.

4.

Remove the 4 hold-down screws on the motor.

5.

Remove the V-belt from the pulley on the motor.

6.

Remove and replace the motor.

7.

Remove the pulley from the old motor by loosening the set screw.

8.

Reposition the wires on the new shake motor by following the drawing made

in Step 3.

9.

Reinstall the pulley on the new motor.

10.

Put the V-belt on the balance groove pulley, then on the motor pulley.

. Align the motor pulley with the groove pulley on the crankshaft.

. Install and tighten down the 4 motor hold-down screws while keeping tension

on the belt.

Be sure to adjust the shake motor for proper tension on the V-belt. The

deflection should be approximately 3/16” at 5 pounds of pressure.

14.

Reassemble the paint mixer by reversing these instructions.

. With a paint container in position, perform a test run of the mixer to be sure

that it is operating correctly.
