Lubrication and Maintenance

LUBRICATION

Following pages show locations of all lubrication points. Proper lubrication of moving parts helps ensure efficient
operation of your Kinze planter and prolongs the life of friction producing parts.

LUBRICATION SYMBOLS

1. Remove

¼

"-20 x ½" cap screw securng idler assembly to

wrap spring wrench tightener shaft and

2. Remove wrap spring wrench from planter.

3. Tip wrap spring wrench on its side and lubricate with a

high quality spray lubricant. Lubricant must be absorbed

into wrap spring area.

4. Reinstall wrap spring wrench on planter.

WRAP SPRING WRENCH ASSEMBLY

Wrap spring wrench lubrication

Sealed bearings are used on your Kinze planter to provide
trouble free operation.

These are located on drive shafts, row units, and transmission
bearings. Sealed bearings are lubricated for life and are not
serviceable.

Lubricate at frequency indicated
with SAE multipurpose grease.

Lubricate at frequency indicated with high
quality SAE 10 weight oil or spray lubricant.

SEALED BEARINGS

Sealed bearing (Typical)

AIR CLUTCH LUBRICATION

Lubricate air clutches every 75-100 hours.

Remove Phillips head screw and spray a 1-2 second burst of
silicone spray into each clutch. Reinstall screw.
