Off

The adapter is not
powered.

• Securely connect the adapter to the

PowerFlex drive using the ribbon cable.

• Apply power to the drive and network.

Flashing Red

The adapter has failed the
firmware test.

• Cycle power to the drive. Parameter settings

may have been changed.

• Clear faults in the adapter.

• If cycling power does not correct the

problem, the parameter settings may have
been corrupted. Reset defaults and
reconfigure the module.

• If resetting defaults does not correct the

problem, flash the adapter with the latest
firmware release.

Solid
Red

The adapter has failed the
hardware test.

• Cycle power to the drive.

• Replace the adapter.

Flashing Green

The adapter is operational
but is not transferring I/O
data.

• Place the scanner in RUN mode.

• Configure the adapter for the program in the

controller.

• Program the controller to recognize and

transmit I/O to the adapter.

Solid Green

The adapter is operational
and transferring I/O data.

• No Action.

• Securely connect the adapter to the drive

using the Internal Interface cable and to the
network using a PROFIBUS cable.

• Correctly connect the PROFIBUS cable to

the PROFIBUS connector.

• Apply power to the drive.

Flashing Red

Error in PROFIBUS
configuration.

• Re-configure the PROFIBUS module.

Solid Red

Error in PROFIBUS
controller initialization.

• Cycle power to the drive.

• Re-configure the Profibus scanner.

Solid Green

The adapter is properly
connected and
communicating on the
network.

• No action required.
