In the 1785-BCM module, two bits of the status word serve to inform the
PLC-5 processor of the state of the local and remote system. (The local
system refers to that system whose 1785-BCM module is in the same
chassis as the PLC-5 processor that is being monitored.) Figure 8.2 shows
both local and remote bits and describes what is occurring in the system
when the bits turn off or on. For more information about the system status
word, refer to Chapter 5, “Operating Your PLC-5 Backup System.”
Important: The status word bits in Figure 8.2 are included in BTR
instructions and are in an integer representation (bits numbered 0–15).
