Data Highway Plus – connect the signal conductors with Clear, Shield, and Blue insulation to
terminals 1, SH, and 2 of PLC –5/40 or –5/60 processor respectively, as well as to terminals 18, 19, and 20 of
1785 –BEM module.
Remote I/O – connect the signal conductors with Blue, Shield, and Clear insulation to terminals 1, SH, and 2 of
PLC –5/40 or –5/60 processor respectively, as well as to terminals 18, 19, and 20 of 1785 –BEM module.

Connect the other end of the 1770-CD cable to terminals 18, 19, and
20 on the wiring arm of the 1785-BEM module in the same chassis as
shown in Figure 4.13.

Perform steps 1 and 2 for the other PLC-5/40, -5/60, or -5/80
processor and 1785-BEM module.
