Parameter Read/Write Example
In this example, a read and a write of PowerFlex 70 drive parameter 101
- [Preset Speed 1] is being performed.
The Message Configuration screen in RSLogix 500 for the message
doing the read operation is shown in
Figure 5.6 . It is assumed that the
1769-SM1 occupies slot number 1, and that the PowerFlex 70 drive is
connected to the 1769-SM1 channel 1.

box.

The response data for the message is stored at Data Table Address N7:0.
The Size in Bytes of the response data is 2 bytes because the data size for
PowerFlex 70 drive parameter 101 - [Preset Speed 1] is 2 bytes (1 word).
No Data Table Address is specified for the request data since the Read
Parameter service has no request data.
