2.2 Understanding the Enclosure Rating: IP20

GV3000/SE Bookshelf drives have an IP20 rating. An IP rating designates the

enclosure’s level of protection. The first number (2) indicates the enclosure protects

against solid objects greater than 12 mm. The second number (0) indicates that the

enclosure is not water-tight. Note that the drive is intended for use inside a larger,

user-supplied enclosure.
