Chapter 3 Install a 1769 EtherNet/IP Adapter

You can use these tools to set the network Internet Protocol (IP) address on your
1769 EtherNet/IP adapter:

Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP)/Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol

(DHCP) server - available out-of box

RSLinx Classic software - only available for previously-configured

adapters

Studio 5000 Logix Designer application, version 20.00.00 or later -

only available for previously-configured adapters

The module uses these tools sequentially to set the IP address.

The 1769 EtherNet/IP adapters are shipped with BOOTP/DHCP enabled.
