Upgrade
The Upgrade feature of OpenManage Printer Manager (OMPM) allows you to update the firmware for
selected printers. A firmware tool is required to upgrade the firmware for a single printer or group of
printers using a firmware patch. You can define a specific time to schedule firmware upgrades.
The firmware tool to upgrade the firmware depends on the manufacturer and the printer model. Each
firmware tool is associated with the model number of the printer. To upgrade the printer firmware,
OMPM uses the firmware tool along with the firmware patch.
