8. If this is the last task you are performing inside the server chassis, replace the chassis cover,

reconnect the power cord(s), and reconnect any external devices.

5.10 Replacing the S2600CO Server Board

The CG2200 Carrier Grade Server uses the Intel® server board S2600CO. To replace the server board,
the following components must be removed first:

Top chassis cover

Riser card assemblies

Processor air duct

RMM4 module (if used)

Hardware RAID controller board (if used)

eUSB module (if used)

SATADOM (if used)

Any cables attached to the server board or routed over it
- Baseboard SSI main power cable
- CPU1 and DIMM power cable
- CPU 2 and DIMM power cable
- Baseboard SSI power control signal cable
- Multifunction front panel board cable
- SSI front panel board cable
- Fan I

C cable

- Front panel board USB cable
- Mini-SAS 1 cable
- Mini-SAS 2 cable
- HSBP I

C/HDD LED cable

In addition, you will probably want to remove the following components for reuse on the replacement
server board if it hasn’t already been populated with spare components:

Heat sink(s)

Processor(s)

All DIMMs

CAUTION: Before replacing any of the boards on the CG2200 server, you must first take the server out of

service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the server, turn off the server by pressing the power
button, and unplug the power cord(s) from the system and wall outlet.

When handling the power distribution board, observe the normal safety and ESD precautions. See
Appendix A: Safety Information for more information.

5.10.1 Removing the Old Server Board from the Chassis

1. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the power cable(s).

2. Remove the chassis cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Chassis Cover” in Section 3.2.

3. Remove the riser card assemblies. For instructions, see “Removing a Riser Card Assembly” in

Section 3.2.

4. Remove the processor air duct. For instructions, see “Removing the Processor Air Duct” in Section

3.2.

5. Disconnect all the cables attached to the server board or routed over it:

- CPU1 and DIMM power cable
- CPU 2 and DIMM power cable
