1.1.13 Firmware Upgrade on Next Reset

A new managed object has been implemented that allows the user to configure the unit to auto-
matically swap inactive and active banks during the next hard or soft reset after a download.

1.1.14 Remove Configuration File Feature

The Configuration Management function has been delegated to CanogaView 2.0.

1.1.15 MOCANA Update

The application code has been updated with the latest version of MOCANA to resolve outstand-
ing bugs with SSH/SFTP client applications.

1.1.16 Filtering of Tagged UDLD Frames

The product will now filter tagged as well as untagged UDLD frames.

1.1.17 Stagger SNTP Requests

The 9145 can randomly issue its SNTP requests over a 30 second interval after boot-up, which
prevents an SNTP server from being inundated with simultaneous SNTP requests when power is
lost and restored over a large deployment area.

1.1.18 PM/SAM License Policy

PM and SAM licenses are enabled with license keys, available from Canoga Perkins Customer
Support.

1.1.19 Service Availability Monitor (SAM)

Service Availability Monitoring (SAM) is the percentage of time a given service instance is avail-
able to the customer for use in a certain time period. The 9145 generates a continuous, low
intensity set of test frames to monitor service availability for each Class of Service instance being
monitored.

1.1.20 IEEE 802.1ag VLAN Loopback

IEEE 802.1ag VLAN Loopback includes both a loopback responder and a loopback initiator. The
method used is the 802.1ag compatible Layer 2 Ping using LoopBack Message (LBM) and
LoopBack Response (LBR) frames. All managed objects required for the layer 2 ping are pro-
vided via the local console, Telnet, and SNMP.

1.1.21 UTP Cable Diagnostics

UTP Cable diagnostics provides cable status. When the cable is OK, it tells the tester how long
the cable is. If there is a problem, it tells the tester where and what the problem is, such as a
