3.1.2 Management IP Configuration
On the Management IP Configuration menu (see Figure 3-3), the customer can set or modify val-
ues for basic system parameters. Access the options by typing the corresponding number and
pressing <Enter>. Press <Space> to highlight multiple local settings and <Tab> to access entries
in the Remote column if needed. Enter data or press <Space> to cycle through the options
described below. To return to the IP/SNMP Agent Configuration Menu, press <Esc>. To return to
the System Configuration menu, press <Esc> again.
3.1.2.1 Management IP Setup
Manager IP Address - Sets the 9145 Manager's IP Address.
Subnet Mask - Sets the 9145 Manager's IP Subnet Mask.
Default Gateway - Sets the IP Address of the Default Gateway, a network node that man-
ages connections to other IP Subnetworks.
Telnet Security - Enables or disables checking if Telnet host is listed in the host table.
Default is disabled, which allows access to all hosts.
Reply to Broadcast Ping - Allows ICMP packets with a broadcast IP Host Address be deliv-
ered to the processor. Default is disabled.
3.1.2.2 Test IP Setup
Test IP Address - Sets the IP Address for Network Performance Assurance optional feature.
Test Subnet Mask - Sets the IP Address for Network Performance Assurance optional fea-
ture.
Inband Management Port - Selects which port(s) allow Management Communication
access. Parameters are Both Ports, Ext Port Only, User Port Only, or No Management.
Management VLAN Tagging - Enables/Disable the use of a Management VLAN.
Management VLAN Number - When Management VLAN is Enabled, sets VLAN Tag ID.
SLIP/PPP IP Address - Sets the IP Address for SLIP/PPP access. Address does not need to
be configured if SLIP/PPP is not used.
Serial Port Config - Sets the session type supported by the RS-232 Serial Port: selections
are VT100 or SLIP/PPP.
