Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). - SFTP adds encryption to protect uploaded files
during the file transfer process, such as for a software update.
Security Configuration Menu - The Security Configuration Menu provides 9 options to
define password characteristics and parameters that configure lockout and logout for failed
access attempts.
1.3 Optional Features
The Performance Management (PM) and Service Availability Monitoring (SAM) optional features
are measuring tools, available for the 9145 NID at an additional cost.
Performance Management - The Performance Management (PM) optional feature, when
enabled, allows the customer to test how well the network is performing. Tracking network
performance can help prevent problems by detecting potential error conditions before they
become a problem.
Service Availability Monitoring - The Service Availability Monitoring (SAM) optional fea-
ture, when enabled, provides the customer with information on the percentage of time certain
services were available for use by the customer in a given time period.
