8.1 Software Reset

Reset Local -

To reset the local unit software, type 1 and press <Enter>. Reset will be high-

lighted in the Local column. Press <Enter>. The software will reset and the user will be
logged off the system. To return to the Main Menu, type your user name and password when
prompted to log back on to the system, then type 7 and press <Enter> to return to the Soft-
ware Upgrade screen.

Reset Remote -

If you want to reset the remote unit software, type 1, press <Enter>, and

press <Tab> to move the highlight to Reset in the Remote column. To cause a soft reset of
the software, press <Enter>. The remote unit software will reset and you will be returned to
the Software Upgrade screen.

8.2 Swap Bank & Reset

The customer can elect to exchange the current software with the software stored in the inactive
flash memory.

Swap Bank & Reset Local -

To install the backup software on the local unit, type 2 and

press <Enter>. Swap will be highlighted in the Local column. Press <Enter>. The backup soft-
ware will be installed, the 9145 will reset, and the user will be logged off the system. To return
to the Main Menu, type your user name and password when prompted to log back on to the
system, then type 7 and press <Enter> to return to the Software Upgrade screen.

Swap Bank & Reset Remote -

If you want to install the backup software on the remote unit,

type 2, press <Enter>, and press <Tab> to move the highlight to Swap in the Remote column.
To cause a swap of the software, press <Enter>. The remote unit backup software will be
installed, the remote unit will be reset, and you will be returned to the Software Upgrade
screen.

8.3 Swap Bank After Download and Reset

The customer can elect to have newly downloaded software automatically installed when the unit
is reset. Type 3 and press <Enter> Use <Tab> to move between Local and Remote. Use
<Space> to toggle between Yes and No.

Swap Bank After Download and Reset Local -

If set to Yes, whenever new software has

been downloaded into the inactive flash memory, it will automatically be installed, and the
9145 will be reset. When this happens, the user will be logged off the system. To return to the
Main Menu, type your user name and password when prompted to log back on to the system,
then type 7 and press <Enter> to return to the Software Upgrade screen.

Swap Bank After Download and Reset Remote (Remote 9145 only) -

If set to Yes, when-

ever new software has been downloaded into the inactive flash memory, it will automatically
be installed, and the 9145 will be reset. You will then be returned to the Software Upgrade
screen.
