NOTE: Changing the setting on the LAG Port Partner Attributes screen can cause

undesired effects unless you are following the specific instructions in the section
“Configuring a Static Link Aggregation” on page 71. Please contact Canoga
Perkins technical support if you require changes on this page other than
configuring a static LAG.

Parameters on this page represent the values that are assumed by the near end regarding the
far end functionality, in the event of LACP failure.

System address Enter the

MAC address that will be used as an administrative value for the

MAC address of the far end system, when the LACP is not available.

System priority A numerical value attached to the System MAC address in order to create a
unique System ID. Type 2 and press Enter. Type number in range 1 - 65535 and press Enter.

Admin key Type 3 and press Enter. Type number in range 1 - 65535 and press Enter.

Admin port Type 4 and press Enter. Type number in range 1 - 65535 and press Enter.

Admin port priority Type 5 and press Enter. Type number in range 1 - 65535 and press Enter.

LACP activity Indicates whether the port is Active or Passive from the LACP perspective.
Passive ports do not initiate LACP inquiries, but responds to such requests. Type 6 and press
Enter. Press the Space bar to select Active or Passive and press Enter.

LACP timeout Specifies the time interval between LACP messages. Short timeout indicates
LACP messages are sent 1 second apart, while long timeout indicates a 30 seconds interval.
Type 7 and press Enter. Press the Space bar to select Long or Short and press Enter.
