5.6.1.3 Configuring a Static Link Aggregation

A static LAG is fixed and will not send LACP frames or process-received LACP frames; it will not
dynamically exchange information with the LAG partner. Use the following steps to configure a
static LAG.

1. In the LAG Aggregation Group Attributes screen (Figure 5-15), type 1 and press Enter.

Set the Admin status to Enabled.

2. In the LAG Ports List screen (Figure 5-16), type E and press Enter to edit port attributes

for the selected Network port, for example, NET1.

3. In the LAG Port Attributes screen for the selected Network port, set the Assignment

status (1) to Assigned and the LACP activity field (4) to Passive, as in Figure 5-20.
