Upper-case Alpha mode works differently on the two printers.

This mode allows you to enter upper-case letters or spaces.
When you are in Upper-case Alpha mode, the cursor is an
underscore and the q indicator appears on the left side of the
display.

To use Upper-case Alpha mode:

1. When you are in Numeric/Normal mode, press s to enter

Upper-case Alpha mode.

2. Enter your data.

3. Press s to return to Numeric/Normal mode.

This mode allows you to enter upper-case letters, spaces, or
hidden symbols. In Upper-case Alpha mode, the cursor is an
underscore and the status line has the

é symbol on it, or for

caps lock.

To use Upper-case Alpha mode:

1. When you are in Numeric/Normal mode, press s to enter

Upper-case Alpha mode. Or, you can press f, then s to
set caps lock.

2. If caps lock is on, enter your data. Otherwise, press the first

character key (from step 1) and repeat steps 1 and 2 as
needed until you have entered all the data.

3. If you set caps lock, press f, then s again to turn off

caps lock.
