The Keyboard diagnostic function displays a keypad replica to test
keyboard connections.

To check keyboard connections:

1. At the Main menu, scroll with the arrow keys until you

highlight Keyboard. Press e

. You will see a replica of

the printer keypad.

2. Press a key to verify the name of the key and its location on

the replica. Press b

twice to exit.

Te s t i n g t h e S e r i a l P o r t

This test is typically performed by Service or your MIS
department. To check the serial port, you perform a loopback
test, which checks the port for receiving and sending data from a
host.

The loopback plug referred to in the

procedure below is part number 116850,

available as an accessory.

To test the serial port:

1. At the Main menu, scroll with the arrow keys until you

highlight Serial Port. Press e

. You will see:

Insert loopback plug
into serial port
connector.
Press key to cont
