The Display diagnostic menu provides the following selections:
Backlight Turns the backlight on and off to ensure it is
functioning properly. If the backlight does not
turn on and then off, please make a note and
call Service.
Pixel Tests all the individual pixels on the display.
One pixel line toward the bottom of the printer
will not have its pixels set. If any other
positions are skipped, please make a note
and call Service.
Character Set Displays all available characters. If any
character does not display properly, please
make a note and call Service.
Character Fills the third line of the display with a single
character selected from the keyboard. If any
problem is detected, please make a note and
call Service.
To check display characteristics:
1. At the Main menu, scroll with the arrow keys until you
highlight Display. Press e . You will see:
Select LCD test
Backlight
Pixel
Character Set
D
2. Scroll with the arrow keys to select the LCD test you want.
Press e . Each diagnostic function displays directions
for starting that test. Press b to exit.
