Use the
Spacebar (toggle) to switch between the 3 entries:
 Static
 DHCP
 Off
The two following entries are only available if you select the definition Static.
In the field Address, you can assign the static IP address for the CATCenter.
To do so, use either the
right arrow / left arrow keys or the TAB key to move
to one of the four fields. Press the ENTER key to activate edit mode in each
individual field; the font color changes to yellow.
Enter the network mask in the Netmask field. To do so, use either the
right
arrow / left arrow keys or the TAB key to move to one of the four fields. The
default is 255.255.255.0. Press the ENTER key to activate edit mode in each
individual field; the font color changes to yellow.
Establish the Ethernet connection speed and mode in the Connection field.
The following selections are available:
 Manually establishing the Ethernet connection speed and mode
(100MBit full-duplex, 100MBit half-duplex, 10MBit full-duplex,
10MBit half-duplex)
 Allowing the network interface and its communication partner (2nd
computer, hub, switch) to negotiate the speed (Auto)
Note:
The communication behavior can be negatively influenced by the use of
various network components. Thus the setting "Auto" does not always achieve
satisfactory results, depending on the manufacturer.
All editing tasks carried out up to this point are saved by pressing
F2 .
