Delayed Sending

You can set your machine to send a fax at a later time when you

will not be present.

Load the document you want to send in the Duplex
Automatic Document Feeder (DADF) or on the scan glass.

See “Loading Document(s) for Faxing” on page 2.3.

Make sure that the machine is in the fax idle mode. If
necessary, press Fax to enter the fax idle mode.

You can use Resolution, Original Type, Darkness and/or
Duplex

to choose the appropriate sending condition for the

document. For details, see “Adjusting the Document

Settings” on page 2.6.

Press Menu until “Fax Features” displays on the top line.

“Delayed Fax” appears on the bottom line and then press
Enter

.

Enter the number of the remote fax machine using the
number keypad and then press Enter.

Or, press Phonebook and enter the speed dial number or

one-touch dial number.

The display asks if you want to enter another number. To
enter another number, select “Yes” and repeat step 6. To

send to one location or when you finish entering numbers,

select “No.”

Enter a name for the job and then press Enter. You may
skip this step.

The display shows the current time and asks you to enter
the start time when the fax is to be sent.

Enter the time by using the number keypad.

To select AM or PM for 12-hour format, press the Sharp
key( ). If you set a time earlier than the current time, the

document will be sent at that time on the following day.
