NOTE:

LUN Expansion (LUSE) volumes are not displayed.

By default, information in the list is arranged in order of port numbers. For volumes with more than one

path, each path is displayed in a separate row.
The maximum number of rows in the list is 1,024. If the number of volumes exceeds the number of

rows, use the Previous and Next buttons to view information about volumes that do not appear in the

list currently.

NOTE:

Use the vertical and horizontal scroll bar if the information you want to view is hidden and

invisible.

• Port-G-ID-LUN: Logical volumes in the local disk array. The icons are:

To the right of the icon appears information about a LU path, which is a path from hosts to the

logical volume.

NOTE:

If a logical volume is an external volume, # appears after the LDEV number. For more

information about external volumes, see the HP StorageWorks External Storage XP User Guide.

• Status: Status of volume pairs.

This volume not paired with any other volume.
This volume is not a primary or secondary volume.

This volume is a primary volume.

This volume is a secondary volume.

Port that receives read and write requests from hosts. In

logical volume via the CL3-E port.

Host group number. A host group is a group of hosts that issue read and write requests.

LUN (logical unit number).

Logical volume ID. The number on the left of the colon is a CU number. The number on the right of the colon

is an LDEV number.

SMPL

The volume is not currently assigned to a pair. When the initial copy is started by a paircreate

operation, the volume status changes to COPY.

COPY

The initial copy operation is in progress. Data in the primary volume is not synchronized with

data in the secondary volume. When the initial copy is complete, the status changes to PAIR.

PAIR

The volume is paired with another volume. The two volumes are fully synchronized. All

updates from the host to the primary volume are duplicated at the secondary volume.

PSUS

You split the pair (pairsplit-r) or deleted the pair from the secondary disk array (pairsplit-S).

The primary and secondary volumes are not synchronized.

PSUE

The pair was split by the primary or secondary disk array due to an error or failure. The

primary and secondary volumes are not synchronized.
