Last Updated: Date and time when the last operation on a logical path to the remote disk array was

performed.

Refresh the DKC Operations tab after this panel is closed: If selected, information in the DKC Operation

pane is refreshed after you close the DKC Status pane.

Refresh: Refreshes the information in the DKC Status pane.

Close: Closes the DKC Status pane.

Removing the relationship between primary and secondary disk arrays

Use the DKC Operations pane to remove the relationship between the primary and secondary disk arrays

and then remove all logical paths between the two disk arrays. The primary and secondary disk array

administrators must perform the following procedure:

1.

Ensure that all affected Continuous Access XP Journal volume pairs have been deleted.

2.

Ensure that the Command View XP or XP Remote Web Console main pane is in Modify mode. For

more information, see the HP StorageWorks Command View XP User Guide for XP Disk Arrays or the

HP StorageWorks XP Remote Web Console User Guide for XP12000/XP10000.

3.

Ensure that the DKC Operation pane is displayed.

4.

In the Switch Display box, select DKC.

5.

Select Subsystem from the tree. The list displays remote disk arrays.

6.

Select and right-click the remote disk arrays from the list.

7.

Select DKC Operations and Delete DKC. A confirmation message appears.

Initialization Failed

An error occurred with initialization of connection between the local and remote disk

array. The probable causes are:

No cable is connected to the local disk array.

No cable is connected to the remote disk array.

No cable is connected to the network device that comes between the local and

remote disk arrays.

Communication Time

Out

This status indicates one of the following:

A timeout error occurred between the primary and secondary disk arrays.

A logic error was detected between the primary and secondary disk arrays.

Resource Shortage

(Port)

The local disk array rejected the function for configuring logical path connection. All

logical path resources in the local disk array might be used for other connections.

Resource Shortage

(Pair-Port)

The remote disk array rejected the function for configuring logical path connection. All

logical path resources in the remote disk array might be used for other connections.

Serial Number

Mismatch

The serial number of the disk array connected to this logical path does not match the

serial number specified by the Add DKC pane.

Invalid Port

The port is not an initiator port.

Pair-Port Number

Mismatch

This status indicates one of the following:

The specified port number is incorrect.

The port in the remote disk array is physically disconnected from the local disk array.

Pair-Port Type Mismatch The port on the remote disk array is not an RCU target port.

Communication Failed

A communication timeout error has occurred on the path between the primary and the

secondary disk arrays.
