Weld Head Templates.
When a weld schedule is open, a template for the specified weld head may be
displayed by touching the Templates Icon on the Tool Bar. Templates contain
information pertaining to particular weld heads such as the Maximum amps
recommended for the head, the Maximum Travel Speed, the Minimum rec-
ommended prepurge time, the recommended Arc Gas flow rate, electrode
diameters, water cooling requirements, size range (capacity) of the weld
head and Rotor Diameter which is used to calculate the correct electrode
length for a particular tubing O.D.
The weld head template recommendations are used to alert the operator of
any recommended maximum amperage or minimum prepurge time, but will
allow programming of values outside the recommended limits.
