Duplicating a tape recorded
in different color system
(NTSC, PAL, SECAiyi/MESECAM,
M-PAL, N-PAL) (NTSC, PAL, SECAM,
M-PAL, N-PAL)
Before starting
Connect with another VCR. See page 21.
Example
To duplicate a PAL tape using the NTSC
1 Press the REC SYSTEM button corresponding
to the color system in which you want to
record.
The Rec System indicator of the color system you
selected appears in the display window.

Press the OUTPUT SYSTEM button
corresponding to the coior system of you TV.
The Output System indicator of the color system you
selected appears in the display window.
You can monitor the recording picture on your TV.

insert a PAL tape into another (piayback) VCR.

insert a blank cassette with its erasure
prevention tab in piace into your HV-MX100
(recording) VCR.

Press INPUT to display “LINE1 ” (rear) or
“LINE2” (front) on the TV screen.
6 Press T.SPEEO to select the tape speed.
The tape speed that can be selected with the Rec
System differs as mentioned below;
NTSC, M-PAL: SP or EP
PAL, SECAM, MESECAM, N-PAL: SP or EP

Set the other VCR to playback.
The Input System PAL indicator appears in the display.

8 Press # REC/OTR on the recording VCR.

If the incorrect input system indicator appears, set the color
system manually. See page 25.
