The value given is qualified by the mnemonic indicator located on its right
hand side. Results given are the actual values, so it is not necessary to
make any corrections for the particular measurement range. With the
exception of battery voltage or during a pause, all available parameters
are being calculated, irrespective of the result selected for display, .

Display Mnemonic

The various mnemonics used on the A version are fully explained in
Figure 4, whilst reference should be made to Chapter 5 for those used
on the B version. When viewing the memory locations, the mnemonic for
memory will alternate with the parameter mnemonic approximately every
five seconds to differentiate stored answers from current period answers.

Frequency Weighting & Filter Active Indicator

This displays the setting of the weighting and filter switches (POWER
OFF A - Lin and Wtg - 1:1 - 1:1/3). The A and L displays indicate the
setting of the weighting switch, whilst F signals that the filter is active. As
the instrument allows the frequency analysis of pre-weighted signals,
either of the broad band weighting indicators of L (Linear = flat) or
A-weighted can be present in conjunction with the F (Filter) symbol.

0L1

This is the pre-weighting overload which is activated by signals of either
polarity. It has an onset time that is effectively immediate, and to allow
time for it to be read by the operator, it will dwell for approximately 1
second after the overload has ended.

0L2

This is the post weighting and gain overload and has similar time
constants to 0L1.
