not take any information into its data stores, nor does the bar graph
operate. Therefore battery checks should be kept as short as possible
to preserve the accuracy of the period measurement.

As battery leaks can cause considerable damage to the instrument, it is
important that batteries are removed when discharged or if the instru-
ment is to be stored for longer periods.

Caution

Remove the internal battery from the sound level
meter when it is to be powered by an external power
supply.

For long term measurements, the Mains Power Supply type CEL-3732/2
and cable C4210 are available. Before connecting this cable to the
instrument, remove the internal battery and ensure that the supply is set
7.5V output (not 12V).

It is possible to power both the CEL-393B and the CEL-160 Graphic
Recorder from a single CEL-3732/2 Power Supply. In order to do this the
cable set C-4209A is required along with the C4367 Splitter Box.
