0L MEM

If either or both of the above overloads are activated during a measure-
ment period, the overload will latch-on to alert the operator to the fact
that an overload has occurred. This overload indication is retained along
with stored information relating to periods or events, and will be displayed
together with the answers to which it relates. It is reset by the period or
event end routine, or alternatively by either manual period data reset (key
sequence 0R), memory and period time reset (key sequences 0C), or at
switch off.

Interpretation of Results

The basis upon which the individual results are provided are as follows.

Bar Graph

The instantaneous sound pressure level as defined in the relevant
standards is continually available on the bar graph.

This is considered as a secondary display that operates in the same
manner as the analog meter movement of a traditional sound level meter
to give a general representation of the time variations of the sound level.
Each segment represents 1 dB, and the display is refreshed every
62.5ms.

Main Display

This is the primary display, and whenever the SPL mode is selected the
main display shows the level in digital format with a resolution of 0.1 dB.
The display refresh rate is 500ms, irrespective of the detector time
constant that is in use.
