10.

Mount the CEL-393 on a CEL-4627 Tripod to enable long term
measurements to be made, and use the CEL-2962 Wind-
shield if necessary.

When the delayed start time (9.00 am) is reached, the instru-
ment starts calculating and storing L

eq

samples.

11.

After the delayed start time has been reached, the contents of
the memory may be indexed at any time so that stored L

eq

samples up to the current time can be displayed.

Press 1M (sequence for L

eq

) to obtain the first stored L

eq

sample from 9.00 to 9.01 am.

12.

Press M to obtain the second L

eq

sample.

13.

Press M again for subsequent samples.

If the contents of the memory are indexed at 12.30 pm for example, a
total of 210 samples will be available. However, all 480 samples will be
available after 5.00 pm, and may be accessed by carrying out steps 11
to 13.

These results may be hand written on pre-printed report sheets
(SP0784), and if a CEL-393B with built in interface is used, the results
can be printed automatically using a CEL-238, CEL-338, or CEL-438
Digital Processor/Printer.

Switch the instrument off when all answers have been obtained.
