Enabling Multiple Registrations
IP3072 phone can support up to six registrations. The following illustration explains the
registration parameters and options on the Web Configuration Interface. Each registration
can be mapped to one or more line keys. Note that a line key can be used for only one
registration. The user can select which registration to use for outgoing calls or which to use
when initiating new instant message dialogs.
Setting up Backup Servers
Backup Servers are often required in VoIP deployments to ensure continuity of phone
service if, for example, the call server needs to be taken off-line for maintenance, the
server fails, or the connection between the phone and the server fails.
