ioplanF0

This stanza provides information about the I/O planar. The first four numbers
identify the part number and level of the I/O planar card. The Device-Specific
information,

Z

, is the most interesting as this shows that there are:

7 PCI slots (

PCI= 7

)

7 EISA slots (

EIS= 7

)

1 CPU Slots (

CPU= 1

)

procF0

This stanza provides information about the CPU card.

Again information is given about part numbers and so forth. In this instance,
detailed information is given on the following:

Processor Speed is 133 MHz (

PS=133

).

The Speed of the processor bus is 66 MHz (

PB= 66

).

The Speed of the PCI bus is 33 MHz (

PCI= 33

).

The firmware level is

daVIC95269

.

spF0

This stanza gives information about the support processor (not implemented on the
E20 and F30).

memFxx

Here, the device names of the memory cards are given along with the size of the
memory card/SIMM in megabytes. The location of the memory SIMM on the planar
is also given. The 00-00-00-0A refers to the top memory slot; 00-00-00-0B refers
to the second slot from the top and so forth.

5.6 Graphics Support

Graphics support for the E20 and F30 is currently provided by the S15 graphics
adapter. The E20 supports one, and the F30 supports two of these adapters.

The S15 graphics adapter is a high-performance VRAM-based PCI graphics
adapter. The adapter is powered by the Weitek P9100 GUI accelerator chip, the
IBM RGB525 RAMDAC and the Weitek P9130 video accelerator. Two megabytes
of VRAM is provided, and resolutions up to 1600x1200 are supported. Color
depths of eight bits per pixel are supported by AIX. The S15 is based on the
Diamond Viper Pro graphics card, which is a high-performance PC graphics card.

Support for graphics adapters in the PCI-based RS/6000 servers is provided at two
levels:
