9.2.6.3 Installing Additional Software into the SPOT Resource

You might select the lpp_source or the spot resource object as the resource you
want to install from. If you select the lpp_source, rte, when you initiate the BOS
installation (see 9.2.8, “Initiating the BOS Installation” on page 173), you don't need
to add any additional software to the SPOT; however if you want to use the SPOT
as the source, you will need to install additional filesets, as described below.

There are some prerequisite filesets which are needed by some of the packages
we have installed in the lpp_source resource object that haven't been installed yet.
The reason for this decision is that these filesets are contained in large software
packages, and we didn't want to use more disk space than necessary on the NIM
Master.

The required filesets are:

X11.fnt.coreX

X11.fnt.iso1

X11.fnt.defaultFonts

X11.loc_en_US.Dt.rte

X11.loc_en_US.base.lib

X11.loc_en_US.base.rte

bos.txt.spell

bos.txt.tfs

The packages containing these filesets, X11.fnt, X11.loc and bos.txt, require 21
MB, 22 MB and 11 MB of additional disk space.
