6.2 PCI Adapter Configuration

The following PCI adapters are currently supported by PCI-based RS/6000
systems:

S15 Graphics Adapter

SCSI-2 SE Fast/Wide Adapter

SCSI-2 Differential Fast/Wide Adapter

Auto LANstreamer Token-Ring PCI Adapter

Ethernet BNC/RJ-45 Adapter

Ethernet AUI/RJ-45 Adapter

The attributes of these adapters are described in 2.4.2, “Supported Optional
Features” on page 23.

If the required device drivers are installed, PCI adapters are configured
automatically at system restart or by using the

cfgmgr

command.

When you install the AIX operating system, it will query the PCI bus to identify all
AIX supported adapters. The installation process will install the required device
